Odeum’s roots date back to 1745 when Akademiska Kapellet (Lund University Academic Orchestra) was founded. Today, it is Lund University’s centre for student-based music-making, concerts, lectures and education. The Head of Odeum is the University’s Director of Music. Odeum is one of Lund University’s Cultural and Public Centres (LUKOM) along with Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art, the Historical Museum and the Botanical Garden.
